This insightful Zoom session will include Dr. Sarah Ailey PhD (PI of the grant project) and other professors from the five Core Partner Universities who will highlight the impact and evaluation of the IDD Health Equity PATH-PWIDD (Partnering to Transform Health Outcomes with Persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities) program.
This is an innovative initiative focused on improving the education of health care professions in the health and healthcare of persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
IDD Health Equity was led by a consortium of five institutions:
Rush University as lead; Golisano Institute for Developmental Disability Nursing at St. John Fisher University; University of Illinois Chicago Department on Disability and Human Development; University of Minnesota Institute on Community Integration; and Villanova University M. Louise Fitzpatrick College of Nursing.
This presentation will explore:
- Use of Collective Impact Model as the organizing framework
- The project’s ongoing participation of people with IDD in development, implementation and evaluation of efforts
- Themes guiding work produced
- Discussion of suite of materials developed across consortium of our five core partner institutions
- The potential of evidence-based materials to be used across disability healthcare professional education curriculum
- Plans for Sustainability & Expansion
